Miracle proving a big success

A charity shop in Holbeach has proven such a success it has extended its opening hours.

Community Miracle, High Street, has been set up to help fund the Boxes of Hope charity based across the road.
It’s now opening four days a week, 10am to 4.30pm Wednesday to Friday and 10am to 4pm on Saturday.
“We are getting so many more people coming through the door,” said the charity’s Tracy Topliss.
“We’ve had lots of great feedback and offers of items to sell.
“We’re also getting approaches from the council, charities and the NHS about people who may need our help.”
A big hit has been the selling of second-hand uniform for local schools.
“Many are too embarrassed to admit they can’t afford new items as they can be quite expensive,” Tracy continued. “In here they can get them in fantastic condition for a much cheaper price.”
Another fundraising initiative is the ‘Cost of a Coffee’ appeal.
Boxes of Hope is looking for members of the public who can to donate £5 a month, or the equivalent of what would cost them to buy a coffee.
