School gets a big thumbs up

A ‘good’ Holbeach primary school’s latest Ofsted report has been given the thumbs up by pupils.

William Stukeley was rated ‘good’ across the board apart from in the category of personal development where it was judged ‘outstanding’.
In their report, Ofsted praised the school’s ‘broad and ambitious curriculum’ and stated that ‘pupils achieve exceptionally well’. 
They also commented on the school’s provision for personal development, describing it as ‘exceptional’.
William Stukeley’s executive headteacher, Peter Bellamy, said that he was delighted with the inspection and thanked parents, pupils, staff and the whole school community.
Mr Bellamy said: “I am very proud of the recognition the report has given the school community. 
“William Stukeley is a very special place which helps pupils to be the best that they can be.”
Richard Nicholas, chair of governors added: “On behalf of all the governing body, I would like to give all of our staff a huge thank you for all the hard work put in.
“The ‘outstanding’ judgement in personal development shows that our children grow into well-rounded citizens, ready to take on the challenges of life.”
